Pod People

My journey of self discovery is not complete. I am still exiling/sabbaticalizing. However, my 1988 version Sony Walkman ran out of AA batteries while trudging through a sandstorm in the middle of the desert. The Bangles remake of "Hazy Shade of Winter" ended violently interrupting my internal soliloquy.

Since I'm back briefly to get more batteries, I feel I should do my part to promote the latest Laugh Tracks podcast now available at Runner's Lounge. As usual, I contribute very little but thoroughly enjoyed taking a few "pod" shots (get it? get it?) at Viper. You keep teeing 'em up; I'll keep swingin' for the fences.

So, go here if you would like to listen to Ian and Matt be amusing while I drag the room down repeatedly.

My journey of self discovery is not complete. I am returning to the desert now. Or is it dessert? Whatever...I'm doing the one that's not as tasty.

Back to Exiling on Feet Street.

And like that, he's gone.

You think you saw your Walkman trudging through the desert? Your journey must be almost over because you're definitely experiencing visions.

Come back soon. While you're gone, I'm technically the Biggest @$$hole in the blogosphere.

But when you come back?

I'm STILL number one!!

But you'll have something to shoot for.

So hurry back, already!

You're such a tease.
Will you please pick up some of whatever junk you can get down the street and mail it to me? I'd like to sleep through the remainder of this illness.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the 'pod' shots, but you guys are going to have a hell of a time getting more reader questions if you subject everyone to that kind of treatment.

Happy sandy sabbaticalling.

Well, no matter how brief, it is always a pleasure...

Give my regards to the Bedouins...

It's like Vision Quest, only there are sneakers involved. And apparently, lots of sand.

Don't sell yourself short about dragging down the podcast... because that's what I was going to talk about today at my non-sabbaticalizing blog.

Don't get sand in your vagina.

Nitmo's map of self-discovery: run past mid-life crisis, turn left at inner child, seize momentary opportunity to insult fellow bloggers, stroke ego repeatedly, dust off sand and return.

There's a sign in the dessert-- nestled between layers of mascarpone cheese and whipped cream-- that says "The key to self discovery is blogging." Too bad you're in the wrong desert.

We miss you!

I keep hearing about this Runner's Lounge, I think I'm the only one on the planet who doesn't listen. I should remedy that.
